As of 2021, Larry Bird is retired from professional basketball and currently serves as a special advisor for the Indiana Pacers. He was previously the President of Basketball Operations for the Pacers from 2003 to 2012, and again from 2013 to 2017. Bird is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time, having won three NBA championships with the Boston Celtics and numerous individual awards, including three NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998.
